Plants are all planted and all seeds are in the ground!


15. Mai 2010

Now the potatoes are planted, next we will plant the onions and the
corn and beets, radish and we are going to get transplants. Still need to
add more.


28. März 2010

The seeds have arrived, we are waiting for the ground to dry a little. We
are going to prepare the soil for the planting.
Das Saatgut ist angekommen und wir warten bis die Erde einbisschen
trocken wird (zu viel Schlamm). Wir werden dann den Boden für die Aussaat
vorbereiten.

Saatgut wurde heute von uns bestellt:

Heilkräuter
Kamille, Löwenzahn, Roter Sonnenhut, Baldrian, Lavendel, Ringelblume

Gemüse
Artischocken, Zucchetti, Kürbis, Bohnen, Mais, Tomaten, Karotten

Eine zweite Bestellung wird folgen!

11. September 09

We produced potatoes, tomatoes and peppers, the corn became yellow
and it growth was stunned, onion are all harvested, since it was it first
year and you must build on that, the Yellow Bull Family would like thank
Sabrina for all the hard work that she had done.

It has inspired the family to continue by prepare the grounds starting
now, most of equipment has to be repaired and ground need to be
plowed and green cover crop to build up the soil. To build sheds to
house the tools in one location develop plans for trees and a better
green house to start plants a little early.

Again, we would like to thank those who made it possible for the garden

30. July 09

Well, today 7/30/09 was a very cold day, but it didn't frost, so the plants
are still growing and receiving natural rain water from wakan tanka (the
Great spirit).

With good plant management we will do good this year, the
grasshopper are also have return, may have get some chicken to
management the gardening area.

The weather as for thunderstorms was not as hard, with hail so the
plants are doing good, the local wild land fire department have been cut
scrubs and dead fall trees and have been turn into wood chip, we will
haul begin to make compost for the next year.

01. July 09

The Garden is growing and we have been getting a plenty water on the
plants. Everything is growing!

We planning to start green manure many harry vetch or alfalfa, it will
take a sometime but it will need to be ready for the next summer
planting.

07. June 09

Well, most of the garden has been planted, all the fund that has been
received it almost spend. For transplant, seed and material. We hope
that the weather holds in our favor, the hard work of Sabrina,
Wendell III, Delores, Eric, and Our little people, The grandchildren Davis,
Lea will be lost.

On the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation due changing weather is has been
raining and been very cold. The transplants are holding up, we are using
cow manure to make manure tea for the plant.

Sabrina has done excellent jobs, of planting and Delores Yellow Bull said
that there are corn shoots starting emerge from Ina Maka “Earth”.
